The Charitable Worker Visa—also known as the Volunteer Visa—is a long-term visa that allows overseas individuals to perform unpaid charitable work in South Africa. It’s a popular option, particularly among young volunteers, who want to contribute to meaningful causes while experiencing South Africa’s culture and diversity.
🌍 Purpose of the Visa
This visa enables foreign nationals to:
- Engage in volunteer or charitable work in South Africa
- Work with a registered South African organisation
- Stay in South Africa for an extended period while giving back to the local community
❌ Please note: No remuneration is allowed while on this visa. It is strictly for voluntary, unpaid work.
